First Class Performance: Parental Care Primary School Bushenyi Wins Fort Portal's Debate Competitions

Parental Care Primary School, Bushenyi has been declared the winner of the Fort Portal's Inter Schools Poetry and Debate Competition, held at St Leo's Kyegobe on Saturday.

This competition that run from University to Primary, was organized by the Rwenzori Debate Forum in conjunction with Kawanda Agricultural Research Institute.

The theme of the debate was; Food Insecurity, Ending Hunger and Poverty in Uganda.

It's worth noting that this mighty school in March this year won the National Speech and Debate Competition 2023 for both Junior and Secondary Schools that was held at the Parliament of Uganda. 

To win Fort Portal's competitions, Parental Care beat Green Circle Primary School in the finals.

These competitions saw participation of over 10 primary schools. 

After winning the trophy, Mr. Bright Beyongyera a trainer and a teacher at Parental Care Bushenyi congratulated his school and encouraged parents to trust them with more students. 

Mr Bright added that his school had a team of 22 pupils who led them to victory. 

In his words as quoted by Swift Daily News, Mr Bright said, ''It's a moment of pomp and glamor for us as Parental Care, Year in and Year out our performance has been on top notch. I want to assure our dear parents that their children are in safe hands and they should bring more students we do what we know best to make them capable and unique citizens.''
